What are the best rings to buy?
The ideal coins to turn into rings are made from silver or gold. Most Irish coins were minted in copper and nickel. Some people are sensitive to nickel which can result in skin irritation. The copper content can also cause a (non-permanent) mark on your finger. Each ring is polished and put into an ultrasonic cleaner to wash away any residue.
We do everything we can to seal the ring giving it a coat of renaissance wax to finish but this will wear off in time.
Here are some options with a higher silver content:

A perfect statement piece that tells a story—just for you.
How can I clean the ring?
With every ring from CoinRingsIreland you will receive a FREE polishing cloth to clean and polish up the ring.
You can seal the ring with a coat of clear nail polish on the inside providing it’s safe for you to do so. This will add an extra layer of protection between the metals and your skin and will help with tarnishing and skin turning green. This will rub off over time depending on use and will need to be repeated.
Ideally you should take off your ring before washing your hands or washing dishes - before you shower or bath or before you start a workout, because its your skin and body oils that react with the metal that makes your skin turn a colour.
